Breast Cancer Awareness Month has reached all the way out to Kenya in the continent of Africa.......Boston (ChattahBox) – Breast Cancer Awareness Month has reached all the way out to Kenya in the continent of Africa.

Breast cancer is a major problem in the country of Kenya, due to the fact that they have a hard time in being able to get tested so that they can check if they have the disease or not.

It is estimated that one in every nine women in Kenya will be diagnosed with breast cancer.

The push now is on to raise breast cancer awareness in the country, as early detection can increase the survival rate a great deal.

To help with this cause, Keny’a Breast Health Program held a 5KM walk with 1,500 people.

This event raised a great deal of money towards breast cancer research, and shows the true reach that the idea behind Breast Cancer Awareness Month has.
