Hurricane Omar, Category 3, Moves Through Caribbean

Hurricane Omar is now a Category 3 hurricane and is storming through the Caribbean.......Washington (ChattahBox) – Hurricane Omar is now a Category 3 hurricane and is storming through the Caribbean.

The U.S. National Hurricane Center in Miami confirmed Omar is a Category 3 storm with sustained winds up to 125 mph.

The storm passed over islands in the Eastern Caribbean early Thursday morning moving northward.

There are many islands though still under hurricane warnings including St. Martin, Sabam, St. Barthelemy, Anguilla, and St. Eustatius.

The hope is that the storm is now going to weaken as it moved northward at 25 mph.
