US To Pay $2.6 Million For Chinese Prostitution Study

May 13, 2009

China (ChattahBox) – The United States will be conducting a $2.6 million dollar study in China, in an attempt to teach prostitutes in the area to drink less on the job.

The National Institute of Alcohol Abuse (NIAA) believes it is important to stave off the rampant alcoholism that permeates the female sex industry, in an attempt to allow more accountability within a rather dangerous trade.

According to the mission statement released by the NIAA, the study proposes β€œto develop, implement, and evaluate a venue-based alcohol use and HIV risk reduction intervention focusing on both environmental and individual factors among venue-based FSWs (Female Sex Workers) in China.”

It is hoped that a better understanding of how alcohol use (and, potentially, drug use) is related to HIV, allowing a way to use responsibility against an already devastating epidemic.

Unemployment is through the roof and we are more concerned about Chinese hookers drinking to much than our own citizens…how is this even possible?

I need help with bills and such here in the states and it seems some hookers in china get some support while i get to twiddle my thumbs here?
Come on US help out your people before you start worrying about hookers in another country.

well this makes sense. americans travel to china and patronize these prostitutes. a measure that would cause a decline in HIV among these prostitutes could potentially save american lives and perhaps millions of dollars in health care costs that would be spent treating them.

It is far preferable for the hookers to be on cocaine or a drug that doesn’t give them nasty alcohol breath.

Did they get the proper authorization from the China government before starting their so-called studies? Or is this just the next phase in the destruction of American civilization after what they did to the automobile industry?\

What I’m referring to there is the stupidity for decades where the US government let Japanese automakers sell their cars here, despite the Japanese not letting American automakers sell cars in Japan. How does one say “bend over” in Japanese?

Of course I would have no objection to this study if I could be one of the -ahem- investigative scientists!
