Titillating Berlusconi Photos Create International Scandal

June 6, 2009

(ChattahBox)—Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi is in a bit of a quandary, with the publication of scandalous photos of topless cavorting women, and a naked former Czech Prime Minister, taken secretly during weekends at his Sardinian villa.

The gregarious Berlusconi, 72-years-old, obviously likes to party surrounded by young beautiful girls, including a certain 18-year old Italian model, according to his wife, but the real question is how will his reprobate type antics affect his reelection chances?

As another scandal breaks concerning Berlusconi’s wild private life, chances are he will still win his bid for reelection this weekend. Berlusconi is wildly popular in Italy, despite his shenanigans. But he now faces an official inquiry into his frequent use of state aircraft to transport his party girls, entertainers, musicians and other guests to his weekend villa.

The Spanish daily newspaper El PaĆs published five photographs taken secretly by a local photographer with a telephoto lens and the photos are reprinted in the Italian daily La Repubblica, as well. Berlusconi is taking legal action to prevent the publishing of further photos and police officials confiscated the photographer’s files in light of a pending lawsuit.

So, what do the photos reveal, really? First off, Berlusconi has a lovely villa with beautifully landscaped grounds adorned with artistic rock formations and statutory. The photos show a few topless women, wearing bikini bottoms, poolside and in a whirlpool bath.

The eye catching photo however, happens to be of former Czech Prime Minister, Mirek Topolanek who is shown without a stitch of clothing on leaning over a woman next to him in a lounger by the pool.

The photos also depict Berlusconi walking through the grounds accompanied by a young woman in a pink top and jeans.

Berlusconi’s young model friend, 18-year old Noemi Letizia apparently attended one of his weekend villa shindigs when she was just 17. Berlusconi’s wife and mother to his three children, is seeking a divorce.

Berlusconi, is calling the photos “innocent” fun and an invasion of his privacy, claiming his guests were shown taking showers. Former Czech Prime Minister, Mirek Topolanek claims the photos were doctored and part of a smear campaign against him by European socialists.

Meanwhile, all of Europe is eagerly buying newspapers and visiting websites to get a glimpse of the photos, and the scandal has created quite a brouhaha.
