Iranian airliner crashes, 168 people feared dead

(ChattahBox) — Another deadly plane crash has occured. This time a  Caspian Airlines jet bound for Armenia from Iran, with 168 people aboard crashed soon after take off, state media reports.  All aboard are feared dead.  The plane, reported to be a Russian-built Tupolev, crashed near the city of Qazvin, northwest of the capital, just 16 minutes after take off from Tehran’s international Imam Khomeiny airport.

Caspian Airlines flight 7908, was carrying 153 passengers most were Armenians with some Georgians and 15 crew, state television reported. The broadcast showed wreckage mingled with human body parts and a fire brigade official was quoted as saying the debris was strewn over a broad area. News reports said the pilot may have been attempting an emergency landing after technical problems occurred.
