Woman Identifies Highly Sought Terrorist As Her Husband

July 28, 2009

Indonesia (ChattahBox) – A housewife from rural Indonesia has identified her husband as the possible suspect responsible for the Jakarta bombings of the JW Marriott and the Ritz-Carlton hotels this month.  Arina Rahmah identified photographs of wanted terrorist and fugitive Noordin Mohammed Top as Abdul Halim, her husband that she hasn’t seen since March.

Noordin Top is believed to be the leader of an extremist splinter group known as Jemaah Islamiyah Islamist. The network is already thought to be responsible for a number of other suicide bombings that have killed hundreds of people, including tourists and Indonesian citizens.

There has been an active manhunt for Top since 2002, but police hope that his alleged wife’s help may allow them to finally find the man they believe to be responsible for the deadly attacks.
