May 25, 2010

Pakistan (ChattahBox) – Pakistan officials have arrested the tenth person believed to have been involved with the attempted bombing in Times Square.

Anonymous sources at Pakistan’s intelligence service named the man as Shoaib Mughal, though he spoke without official authorization.

According to a relative of Mughal, the man was arrested in his computer parts shop in Islamabad.

Authorities have been looking for anyone who had any connection to the attempted attack perpetrated by Faisal Shahzad in New York City on May 1st, ten people have now been arrested, several within the United States.

U.S. officials also say that Shahzad went looking for the Pakistani Taliban to aid him in an attack, rather than being contacted to aid in one by the organization. He seems to have been a willing volunteer.

“He had an attack in mind when he went there,” an official stated of his last trip to the country, where he appears to have made his contacts for the bomb attempt.
