Four Dead, Thirty Injured In Russia Bomb

May 26, 2010

Russia (ChattahBox) – A bomb went off during a dance performance in the South Russia region of Stavropol, which borders the North Caucasus, leaving four dead and at least thirty people injured.

The attack is being investigated as a possible terrorist attack, something that has not occurred in the area for many years, officials say.

Regardless of that fact, the North Caucasus has long since been known as a violence-filled region filled with ethnic battles between warring Muslims, and radicals from the area have already attacked other parts of Russia.

One of the two women that attacked the Moscow subway and killed 40 in March was from the region.

Of the dead victims, two were women, and one was a man. None have been identified to the press.

Я уверен что ВСЕ мы не хотим чтобы теракт сегодня был поводом новой ссоры и разлада между Русским и Чеченским народом! У нас горе на весь наш город! Горе на всю страну!

I’m sure we all do not want that today`s act of terrorism was not blind reason discord and enmity between the Russian and the Chechen people. At us Woe to the whole our town! Woe to the whole country!
